        As part of its efforts to enhance cultural and social awareness among students, the Women\u2019s Affairs Unit at Al-Rumaitha Technical Institute organized a cultural workshop\u00a0 for students of the Accounting Technology Department. The chapter was titled \u201cThe Phenomenon of Harassment and Its Effects on Society,\u201d and included a lecture given by Mr. Assist. Lect. Hussein Ahmed Abd.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

        During the lecture, the lecturer addressed the definition of the phenomenon of harassment, its forms and the reasons for its spread, while highlighting its negative effects on victims and society. He also provided a set of instructions and recommendations to students on how to confront this phenomenon and promote the values \u200b\u200bof respect and social responsibility.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

        The Women\u2019s Affairs Unit confirmed that this initiative comes within the framework of its plans to enhance awareness of sensitive social issues and encourage students to adopt positive behaviors that contribute to building a cohesive and safe society.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

        Al-Rumaitha Technical Institute \u2013 Women\u2019s Affairs Unit organized a symposium entitled \u201cWomen\u2019s Political Rights and Freedoms in the Iraqi Constitution\u201d, presented by Mrs. Fatima Jakhim Sharad.<\/strong><\/h5>
        The symposium discussed the most important rights and freedoms guaranteed by the Iraqi Constitution for women, with a focus on their role in political life and mechanisms for enhancing their participation in decision-making positions. The challenges facing women in the political field and ways to overcome them were also highlighted.<\/strong><\/h5>

        The Women\u2019s Affairs Unit at Al-Rumaitha Technical Institute held an educational symposium entitled \u201cDuties and Rights of the Public Employee in the Republic of Iraq According to the State Constitution of 2005.\u201d<\/strong><\/h5>
        \u00a0<\/h5>
        \u00a0Ms. Nadia Hamid gave a comprehensive lecture on the most important points contained in the Iraqi Constitution of 2005 regarding the duties and rights of the public employee.<\/strong><\/h5>
        The lecture discussed employees\u2019 obligations towards public service and their role in promoting integrity and transparency, in addition to their rights guaranteed by the Constitution to ensure a fair and stable work environment. Laws related to penalties and violations were also highlighted to ensure that employees adhere to the principles of job work.<\/strong><\/h5>

        The Women\u2019s Affairs Unit at Al-Rumaitha Technical Institute organized a workshop entitled \u201cEconomic Empowerment of Iraqi Women in the Field of Entrepreneurship.\u201d<\/strong><\/h5>
        The workshop aimed to highlight the importance of enhancing the role of Iraqi women in the economic field and encouraging them to engage in entrepreneurship, which contributes to achieving sustainable development and increasing women\u2019s participation in economic life.<\/strong><\/h5>
        The lecture was given by Mrs. Assist. Lect. Zainab Shaker Jubeir, where she addressed various topics on the concept of entrepreneurship, planning skills for small projects, and mechanisms for empowering women economically through creating innovative job opportunities, and stressed the importance of community and institutional support to achieve these goals.<\/strong><\/h5>

        The Women\u2019s Affairs Unit at Al-Rumaitha Technical Institute held a panel discussion entitled \u201cViolence against Women,\u201d as part of its ongoing efforts to raise awareness of women\u2019s issues and rights.<\/strong><\/h5>
        The seminar was moderated by Prof. Dr. Qahtan Al-Fatlawi, Dean of the Institute, in the presence of a large number of male and female members of the teaching and administrative staff. The seminar discussed various forms of violence against women, its causes and effects on society, in addition to reviewing possible solutions and measures to reduce this phenomenon.<\/strong><\/h5>
        During his opening speech, Dr. Al-Fatlawi praised the importance of such discussions in enhancing awareness and emphasizing the pivotal role of women in building society. He also called on the audience to work together to spread a culture of respect for women\u2019s rights and combat all forms of violence and discrimination.<\/strong><\/h5>

        Al-Rumaitha Technical Institute \u2013 Women\u2019s Affairs Unit held a workshop entitled \u201cEmployee Rights and Duties,\u201d as part of a series of awareness-raising activities that the Institute is keen to organize.<\/strong><\/h5>
        Present at the workshop was Mr. Lect. Sami Hatem Matar, who gave a comprehensive and detailed presentation on the most important rights guaranteed by the law to employees, and highlighted the most prominent duties they must adhere to while performing their work. The workshop also addressed aspects related to professional ethics and the importance of promoting a healthy and productive work environment.<\/strong><\/h5>

        The course aimed to enhance awareness of the importance of women\u2019s participation in political life and highlight the challenges they face and the opportunities available to them to achieve empowerment in this field.<\/strong><\/h5>

        On Thursday, 10\/31\/2024 (October – Breast Cancer Awareness Month), Al- Rumaitha Technical Institute – Women\u2019s Affairs Unit, in cooperation with the Al-Muthanna Health Department – Mental Health Office, organized an awareness symposium under the title \u201cMethods of breast cancer prevention and early detection.\u201d With the aim of increasing awareness among women about the importance of early detection and prevention methods.<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>
        \u00a0<\/h5>
        During the symposium, university nurse Taif Ali Hassoun gave a lecture in which she discussed the most prominent risk factors associated with breast cancer, such as genetic factors, dietary pattern, and lifestyle, in addition to tips to reduce these risks by adopting healthy habits, such as balanced nutrition and regular physical activity.<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>
        \u00a0<\/h5>
        She also touched on the importance of regular examination and early detection as one of the most effective ways to reduce the death rate resulting from breast cancer. Methods of self-examination and periodic mammogram examinations were presented, which are among the basic means of detecting tumors in their early stages, which increases the chances of treatment.<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>
