The Women’s Affairs Unit at Al-Rumaitha Technical Institute held a panel discussion entitled “Violence against Women,” as part of its ongoing efforts to raise awareness of women’s issues and rights.
The seminar was moderated by Prof. Dr. Qahtan Al-Fatlawi, Dean of the Institute, in the presence of a large number of male and female members of the teaching and administrative staff. The seminar discussed various forms of violence against women, its causes and effects on society, in addition to reviewing possible solutions and measures to reduce this phenomenon.
During his opening speech, Dr. Al-Fatlawi praised the importance of such discussions in enhancing awareness and emphasizing the pivotal role of women in building society. He also called on the audience to work together to spread a culture of respect for women’s rights and combat all forms of violence and discrimination.
The seminar concluded with a set of recommendations and proposals that would contribute to creating a safe and sustainable environment that supports women’s rights and enhances their status
