Scientific and effective participation of Al- Rumaitha Technical Institute in the success of the third edition of the Third International Conference on Sustainable Development of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, which was held at the Turkish IKU University.
Scientific and effective participation of Al- Rumaitha Technical Institute in the success of the third edition of the Third International Conference on Sustainable Development of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, which was held for the period from 9/25-26/2024 at the Turkish IKU University, and in partnership with Istanbul Kaltar University, the Turkish Gazi University, the Indian Chitkara University, and Imam Jaafar Al-Sadiq University.
It included the participation of the Dean of the Institute, Prof.Dr. Qahtan Adnan Al-Fatlawi, in managing one of the engineering sessions of the conference.
The conference also included the participation of the Assistant Dean for Scientific and Student Affairs, Assist. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Razzaq Hassan, chairing and managing the opening and closing sessions during the days of the conference, along with Assist. Prof.Dr. Ali Najah, the Quality Assurance Officer at the university.
The sessions included presenting two valuable lectures during the first day and a lecture on the second day.
The first lecture: A lecture by the Scientific Undersecretary, His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Haider Abd Dahd Al-Rubaie.
Titled (Towards a Sustainable Scientific Renaissance: Integrating Scientific Research with Sustainable Development Goals in Iraqi Universities),
The lecture provided a detailed presentation of a summary of the activity of Iraqi universities and researchers in the field of sustainable development and its position in the most important axes of international classifications. The lecture also focused on the impact of Field-Weighted Citation Impact (FWCI) MetricsField-Weighted Citation Impact (FWCI) Metrics
Which shows the impact of the researcher in his field of work within the field of specialization.
The second lecture was by Dr. Professor Churlo from the Indian University of Chitkara in the field of using biofuels as an alternative fuel to traditional fuels and clean and renewable energy.
Closing session
It included a lecture by Dr. Professor Ardal from the Turkish Gazi University, who specializes in the field of electrical and alternative energy, where a lecture was presented on the use of renewable and alternative energies such as solar energy and others and how to manage them using Smart Grid.
The lectures included interaction and discussions between the lecturers and international attendees from various Iraqi universities and international universities supporting the conference.
