Speech by the Head of Electrical Technologies Department
The Department of Electrical Technologies is considered one of the important edifices in the Technical
Institute/Rumaitha , as it is one of the first scientific departments to be established in the Institute and it is
one of the important sources in graduating technical staffs in the electrical technology specializations to
supply state institutions and the private sector with competent technical staffs. The department also seeks
continuous communication with state ministries with corresponding specializations in order to contribute
to solving technical problems, completing projects and applied research, and providing scientific
consultations to serve the interest of scientific development and the increasing progress in the
performance of state institutions.
The department has witnessed great development in all fields, including increasing the number of students
in preliminary studies, developing curricula, laboratories, teaching methods, and training in preliminary
studies.
The department participates in implementing the Continuing Education Center courses held at the
university and institute and participating in discussion committees and the preparatory and scientific
committees for conferences.
