Al-Rumaitha Technical Institute organized a scientific workshop entitled (The Role of Iraqi Women in Political Life) and in cooperation with the Women’s Empowerment Unit. The workshop included a lecture in which Professor Ms. Zainab Shaker Jubair, head of the Women’s Empowerment Unit, addressed the limited participation of women and its reasons, including constitutional and legal, or related to the system. Cultural, value, and economic factors. The workshop aims to empower and activate the political role of women through the progress of society, overcoming the difficulties they face, and effective participation in decision-making positions.
Where solutions were proposed, the most important of which is contributing to local and international civil society organizations that work to provide training opportunities and capacity building programs. Contributing to organizations and actively participating in decision-making positions through nomination for elections to ensure their right to the legislative and executive authority of the Iraqi state.
