National Afforestation Day in the gardens of Al- Rumaitha Technical Institute

 Based on the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, and coinciding with the Prime Minister’s launch of the afforestation initiative for five million trees and palm trees, and considering (March 12) of each year (National Afforestation Day), students and employees of Al- Rumaitha Technical Institute carried out the project under the guidance of the Dean of the Institute, Prof. Dr. Qahtan Adnan Al-Fatlawi, under the direct supervision of the Dean’s Assistants and the Student Activities Unit, an afforestation campaign to plant trees and shrubs in the institute’s gardens, as well as A workshop was held on afforestation and its importance in cooperation with the Department of Agriculture in Rumaitha, which was delivered by the Director of the Department of Agriculture and the Head of the Environment Department in the department, in addition to other workshops held to raise the students’ sense of environmental responsibility. The importance of this day comes to protect the environment, make it more beautiful and cleaner, and create a climate and study atmosphere for our dear students, wishing everyone more giving, excellence and creativity.
