Central Library

The library is a cultural, educational and scientific institution that works to serve a community of students and professors who belong to the institute. The library provides them with all the information they need in their studies, including books, periodicals, theses and research.

Objectives of the university library:

·        Raising an educated generation armed with science and knowledge.

·        Building an Iraqi society based on democratic values ​​and work

·        Preparing a generation of professors and researchers who represent the tip of the spear in the cultural and administrative movement

·        Creating an integrated and balanced personality for the student in thoughts and behaviours, developing cultural, administrative and social activities and the spirit of innovation and renewal.

·          Creating a growing desire in the student to continue, acquire knowledge, and continue encouragement and innovation during study and after graduation.

Establishing a cultural camp at Al-Rumaitha Technical Institute

Under the patronage of the Dean of Al-Rumaitha Technical Institute, Professor Dr. Qahtan Al-Fatlawi, the Institute – Students Activities Unit, in cooperation with the Cultural Committee in Rumaitha, held a cultural camp under the title (Read five minutes and buy the book for free), where the Dean welcomed the members of the Cultural Committee in Rumaitha.

The Dean stated that the camp is considered an educational awareness camp aimed at disseminating the biography and beliefs of the household (peace be upon them) and conveying a beautiful picture of the institute’s students and their interests in cultural affairs.

The camp included an exhibition of various religious books, as well as competitions and booklets on knowledge in the Qur’an
It also includes various religious and cultural books given to the reader as gifts, in addition to distributing gifts to competition winners.

In turn, the attending committee expressed their happiness with the support provided by Al-Rumaitha Technical Institute for culture, calling for the continuation of cultural camps that develop the students’ energies and provide them with information.

The Library Division, in cooperation with the Students Activities Division, holds a cultural book festival at the Technical Institute/Rumaitha 

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Professor Dr. Muzaffar Al-Zuhairi, and under the supervision of the Dean, Professor Dr. Qahtan Adnan Al-Fatlawi, and in the presence of the University Supervision Committee assigned by the esteemed university presidency.
The Technical Institute in Rumaitha, one of the formations of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, held a book fair to support the cultural movement in the city
The festival began with a remembrance of verses from the Holy Qur’an and the reading of Surah Al-Fatihah to the martyrs of Iraq
Then there was a speech by the Dean of the Institute, in which he welcomed the attendees and also extended his thanks and appreciation to all those in charge of the festival, including employees and students.
The festival included poetry recitation, in addition to a short story and a play about the scourge of drugs, performed by students of the Electrical Technology Department.
The festival included a large display for the institute’s students, in which religious, cultural and scientific books were displayed, in addition to handicrafts and drawing boards
The festival concluded by presenting the Creativity Shield to the Chairman and Supervisory Member in appreciation of their efforts in enriching the cultural scene in the city of Rumaitha, and certificates of participation for those who contributed to the success of this cultural festival.
